link 101: request a training
One of the ways the Linkage Project raises awareness of the link between animal cruelty and human violence is by offering training, including training for community leaders who want to learn how to train their staff or other community members to spread the word. If you would like to host a training event or if you are interested in becoming a trainer, please contact the Linkage Coordinator.
For Teachers and Child Care Providers:
Through the generosity of the Florence V. Burden Foundation, workshops for teachers can be provided. This workshop focuses on providing information about integrating humane education into the everyday curricula. It is not an add-on. The suggestions for projects and teaching activities build on math, reading, social sciences and more while at the same time raising awareness about the important role of animals in our lives. To request a workshop, please contact the Linkage Project for more details. We look forward to hearing from you!
For Community Groups:
Are you interested in hosting a Linkage Project presentation for your group? The presentation covers the role of pets in our lives, animal welfare and other laws, the relationship between animal cruelty and other forms of family violence and much more. Please contact us. We are happy to tailor a workshop for your group.
