Take animal cruelty seriously. It's a crime in itself and a red flag for other violence—past, present or future. If you're concerned about possible animal cruelty and/or family violence, report it:

  • Suspect child abuse? Call 1.800.452.1999
  • Suspect domestic violence? Call 1.800.799.7233
  • Suspect elder abuse? Call 1.800.624.8404
  • Suspect sexual assault? Call 1.800.871.7741
  • Suspect animal abuse? Call 1.877.269.9200

We urge parents and teachers to teach, model and encourage
kids to show kindness and compassion towards other people
and animals and to develop and deliver curricula that build empathy.

Service providers should collaborate with agencies in other disciplines to recognize, report, treat and prevent all forms of cruelty. Service providers are also encouraged to request a training or workshop on The Link.
